2: Everything I wore to my court house wedding

I got married last week!

I was never someone who dreamt about someday getting married and for many years Rob and I didn’t think it was something we were going to do. We love being together and always planned on being together forever but the marriage part was kind of the smallest commitment to us.

We’ve already been through a lot in our relationship with me being sick a few years back. His commitment to me during that period and beyond was all I could ever dream of in a partner.

That being said, we decided that being engaged/getting married could be really fun and that we could take the parts we love most about the tradition and make it our own.

We’re going to be having an intimate wedding back home in Australia later this year in my parents back yard but had to get married at the court house before that.

I knew I wasn’t going to be a traditional bride and when I saw the dress I wore to the court house I knew it would be the perfect vibe for me and a 30 degree summers day.

I was contemplating doing all white accessories to match but after trying a bunch of options I kept coming back to the two the row pieces I ended up wearing. I felt they were a good way to incorporate more classic pieces with an otherwise super modern look.

I did my hair and makeup myself and used a lot of nudestix/hourglass products that I’ll link below. I really loved how my makeup turned out. I felt like me. I loved my hair too but holy hell it is so hard to get a pony tail centered on your head. Make up and hair creatives are really miracle workers.

Here are some photos + links to everything I wore and used for the day.
